Far, Far Away

Friday, May 30th, 2008

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am headed to ECUADOR until June 11. Thanks for your patience and I look forward to being in touch when I return. If you’re of “the praying type”, definitely send some up for me and JC and the team of folks we’re taking with us. We will be working with a ministry in the heart of Quito, Ecuador that serves the very, very poor- providing food and education to help empower them and make them stronger. You can check out our special Ecuador mission blog right HERE!

I Love the Nightlight.

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

I’m just about finished with Merry and Brian’s wedding images. I came across this image and it was a “Must Post”. So sweet, and check out the reception decor. I have to give a shout out to Designs by Tracy Proctor for that.

Ueltschey Kids!

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008

This is Sarah Caroline, Ben, and Luke. They are 3 of the 4 Ueltschey kids. I must say that I enjoyed rolling around in the grass photographing them yesterday. These shots are in front of the red gate at their house. I thought it was interesting that this architectural piece is from New Orleans. Anyway, enough about the gate. What would you do for skin like this?

Rain, Rain

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

I just love everything about this image! Carroll and Seth were such Troopers to go through with the engagement session in the rain. I think the payoff is pretty good.

These Boots Were Made for Splashin’!

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

So, this is Carroll (and me on the right). This was the first rainy-day engagement session of the year. We’ve had PLENTY of rain, and lots of reschedules-but not Carroll and Seth! She said something like “bring it”. I’m going to post more, hopefully with Seth in the photo, but I couldn’t resist.

Brittany and Ed

Friday, May 16th, 2008

Brittany and Ed tied the Knot at Mt. Vernon Place on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. They had quite a wedding party and the most decorated get-away truck in history! I love this shot of Brittany. She looks so radiant and soooo happy! Congratulations!

Heather and George

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Meet Heather and George. We made a quick trip over to Montgomery, AL for a few engagement shots. I met Heather at Jessica Yarber’s wedding in 2006. (Heather was a bridesmaid.) Well, now it’s Heather’s turn, and I couldn’t be more excited to shoot their wedding!

Merry, Merry

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

This is Merry from Ackerman. A true Princess Bride. I love this shot of her fixing her shoe. It was forecast to rain the entire day, but not a drop! The only drops were from the extreme humidity. Gorgeous day, beautiful bride (and groom), lovely family, incredible reception decor, yummy food!

All Shook Up!

Look out, Elvis Fans! This is Rachel and Tommy. The Blue Suede Shoes were just the beginning of the festivities at their wedding. There was a time that even the Father were sporting his Elvis Shades!

Erin and Hendrik

Friday, May 9th, 2008

Erin is from Tennessee, Hendrik-South Africa. They live in New York at this time, and Erin is one of the editors of “The Knot” magazine. If you’re getting married anytime soon, you know what that is! This was a beautiful wedding in every way. The location and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect, but that was minor in comparison to the warmth, humor, and love that was present.
You can check out their images by clicking on the title (Erin and Hendrik) and use the event id 08may03
