Anna and Phillip

These are a few of my favorite pics from Anna and Phillip’s wedding a couple of weekends ago!
Doesn’t she look lovely in her customized bath robe?

Check out the painting on the wall. Of course, that’s Anna as a child. Lovely symbolism, don’t ya think?

Ann and Jason’s Excellent Adventure

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

We had the privilege to travel to Europe with Jason and Ann Palmer in September. Jason is a world class drummer and a major portion of the trip was to pick up a custom Hang Drum in Berne, Switzerland. (Taken from Wikipedia) There are only two people who make Hanghang (plural form of Hang), the inventors Felix Rohner and Sabina Schärer. They have a little workshop in Berne where every Hang in existence was created. In 2006 the Hang Makers stopped shipping instruments directly and halted sales through retailers. To obtain a Hang, prospective customers must send a letter to request an instrument. In 2007, purchasers were invited to Bern with an appointment time to select an instrument, and that is where we pick up. We also made a trip to the Tuscany region of Italy to pick up a special cymbol made by Roberto Spizzichino- an Italian Jazz drummer and master craftsman of Spizz brand cymbals. He creates his cymbals by hand, one by one in his workshop in San Quirico, Tuscany.
Of course, as you can see-other destinations included Paris, France and Venice, Italy. The above photo was made at the Notre Dame Cathedral.

Katie and Jordan

I had the privilege to head South to a little town I like to call “Starkvegas” yesterday to shoot Katie and Jordan’s engagement session. We found some great locations on the campus. There will be more to come!

Sister Soul

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

This is my good friend, Sunni and her sister Paulette. Paulette was visiting from Chicago and they decided to do a photo session together. They are special, indeed. I am so lucky to have shared the afternoon with the two of them.
